It's no secret that getting backlinks equates to more website traffic. We've all been faced with the frustrating search for decent quality backlinks that Google and the other search engines will actually recognize. I've tried pretty much every technique out there. I've submittted hundreds of articles to the major directories, I've joined link exchange schemes that have ended with my site being banned, I've done the Angela and Paul links on profiles, I've social bookmarked until my fingers are sore.
Do you know the only thing that actually increased my search engine rankings? Articles. But, and this is a big but, NOT by submitting them to Ezine Articles and the like. That used to work well but hardly makes a difference nowadays. No, by submitting guest articles to blogs and blog networks. Of course you can submit these by hand and hope that the blogger likes what you write, or...
... you can join a blog network that submits your articles, complete with links back to your site automatically. All you have to do is write the article, or have one writen for you, and press a button.
I've reviewed the three different networks. I currently use all three of them.
The first network is the Free Traffic System - This is the only completely free system I've found that actually works. You submit a single article with special "spin" syntax and their system distributes the article and two backlinks to 30 different blogs in your niche. The main advantage of this network is that it is free. The disadvantage is that you will only get a fairly limited distribution. Not all blogs are viewed equally in Google's eyes and I generally only get five or six backlinks showing for each article. It's free but it take work (or money) to create the articles. I tend to use this service only occassionally due to these factors.
The second network is My Article Network - This will cost you a little money for unlimited submissions, but will submit to up to 10,000 different blogs. In practice you will only submit to your niche so the number of blogs is more limited. This is a better solution than the Free Traffic System since you get far wider exposure. The quality of the blogs is somewhat mixed. There are some real gems that I've been listed on but there are also many that I was less happy with. Overall, it's still worth the modest subscription to me.
The third network Unique Article Wizard (UAW) - UAW submits your sites to both article directories and to an increasing number of blogs. You have the option of sending your articles to all the destination sites in one go - or you can set up staggered submission and spread out your submission over days or even weeks. What I like about UAW is that the quality of blogs in their network is generally much higher than the previous two I've reviewed. I've had better, more efective backlinks from UAW that the other two services. I still use all three networks for competitive niches since they submit to different blogs (mostly) but I've tended to focus on UAW.
